Searchable Online Asset Repository (SOAR)
The Searchable Online Asset Repository tool facilitates rapid access to graphic assets. The user-friendly filters and categorization attributes of the tool quickly organizes and displays assets, and provides scalable deep-zoom capabilities. These dynamic features accentuate the Reuse, Repurpose, and Referencing (R3) of existing assets, streamlining production processes.
Electronic Classroom
Our electronic classrooms are made up of hardware and software designed to provide instructors with the tools to more actively engage the students. Our electronic classrooms are custom designed to meet the needs of each customer’s learning environment. They consist of servers to support the curriculum, an instructor station consisting of a computer with dual flat panel monitors, student workstations with a computer, and dual flat panel monitors.
Apache Virtual Environment Maintenance Trainer
Virtual Training Environment (VTE) enables instructors to virtually insert faults within the avionics system. Maintenance technicians employ the live cockpit environment to conduct operability tests to locate the fault. Technicians then enter an immersive environment to troubleshoot and repair the avionics systems. The VTE is integrated with the device to give constructive feedback on the results of the maintenance-and-repair activity. The connectivity of an actual device with an immersive simulated environment makes the Apache Virtual Environment Maintenance Trainer another one of LSI’s technologically advanced and superior learning tools.
Chinook (Desert to Classroom)
The Chinook Helicopter Maintenance Trainer (CHMT) is a CH-47D airframe converted into a CH-47 series training device with many F-model capabilities including functional glass cockpit, simulated avionics systems, working aircraft electrical and hydraulic systems as well as simulated APU and engine startup and shutdown. The CHMT allows instructors an array of training choices from remove and install tasks and aircraft operational checks to advanced systems troubleshooting. The CHMT has met or exceeded customer requirement in every way and has earned LSI a stellar reputation as a leader and innovator in the military aircraft training device community. LSI provides both project management and engineering expertise from our headquarters in Jacksonville, FL and top-notch hardware production capabilities at our Pensacola, FL facility.
