The IETM is a fully integrated dynamic web application made up of two main sections:

 Class IV Interactive Electronic Technical Manual

 Level III Web Based Training System

Both sections are tied together as a single cohesive web application, supporting multiple uses as a reference tool, step-by-step troubleshooting tool, and a fully interactive training tool. The IETM was designed to meet all of the necessary specifications of the AICC and SCORM compliancy directives. Its dynamic features allow for easy modification to meet any future changes in these standards as well.

The IETM was designed and developed utilizing the most current technology available for web applications today. The central repository is a relational SQL database, which runs under Microsoft’s SQL Server 2000. It was designed in a way which is easily modifiable and allows the ITEM to be utilized for practically any type of publication design from Military to Automobile maintenance manuals or even your company instruction manuals. The IETM was developed utilizing:

 Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language (DHTML)

 JavaScript for client side processing

 VBScript for server side processing

 Active Server Pages (ASP)

 Active Data Objects (ADO)

 Extensible Markup Language (XML)

 Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL)

 Structured Query Language (SQL)

The use of these various technologies allows for the most robust and dynamic IETM web application possible.
