In conjunction with Bath Iron Works, LSI has developed both
classroom Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) and self paced
Interactive Courseware (ICW) for the DDG 51 Ships
Familiarization Program. In response to a fuel spill problem in
the DDG 51 class,
LSI designed and delivered a unique CBT training program to
train ship engineers in safe and proper fueling procedures.
Based on the success of this program, other CBT fuel spill
prevention programs have been designed and delivered for the CG,
FFG, DD, and CV.
In addition to the development of courseware for individual ship
platforms and equipment, LSI was selected to be a part of the
CNET team to implement new CNET “Schoolhouse Technology
Infusion and School Reengineering Program”. LSI has replaced
traditional stand-up training with a variety of modern instructional tools
including Computer Assisted Instruction, Interactive Courseware, and
WEB delivered training.
LSI is a leader in the design and delivery of innovative and effective
training products for both Surface Warfare ships and Naval Warfare schools.
