Senior Management Team
LSI has three Executive Officers – Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer – who serve as the Corporate Board of Directors and oversee company business objectives and strategies. The Executive Officers control the operating budget of the Corporation and designate officers that serve as Vice Presidents for functional areas within LSI.
Dean Leonard
Chief Executive Officer
Dean Leonard serves as the Chief Executive Officer and provides leadership and focus on the organizational and production requirements of the company. He leads our Business Development team and chairs the Marketing Review Board, evaluating and acting on strategic marketing initiatives and potential business opportunities. In addition, he supervises the Human Resources, Information Technology, Security, and Quality Management functions. Dean graduated from the College of Santa Fe with a degree in political science. Before joining LSI in 2003, Dean was a United States Air Force HH-3E and MH-53J helicopter flight engineer with several tours in the Air Rescue and Recovery Service, Air Force Special Operations Command, and Air Education and Training Command.
Corkey Harvey
Chief Financial Officer
Corkey Harvey serves as the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the accounting, contracts administration, facilities, and supply chain management functions. Corkey serves as the plan administrator for our ESOP and 401(k) retirement plans and is responsible for all insurance and financing programs. Corkey graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Prior to joining LSI, Corkey was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and employed for 18 years with global and national CPA firms with a focus on financial statement audits.
Mike McGuinness
Chief Operating Officer
Mike McGuinness serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the company, providing specific oversight of the delivery of all training device, simulation, virtual products, courseware, publications, and services for external clients. He ensures the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. He participates in Marketing Review Boards and provides input on proposals and strategic marketing initiatives. Mike served 22 years in United States Navy and Naval Reserve as an Avionics Technician. He graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. In 1990, Mike joined LSI and has been at the forefront of LSI’s simulation innovation efforts. He helped pioneer LSI’s innovative software simulations in support of CH-47F Chinook and AH-64 Apache pilot and maintainer training.
Mike Steele
Vice President, Manufacturing and Production
Mike Steele serves as the Vice President, Manufacturing and Production. He is responsible for the manufacturing and production of LSI’s training device product line, ensuring schedule and quality goals are achieved. Mike is a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer, who worked on several aircraft platforms during his twenty-two years of service. Mike graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics. In 2011, Mike joined LSI and has since been involved in various aspects of training device production and retrofits. In addition to overseeing daily manufacturing and production operations, he also conducts long-range planning ensuring resources requirements, budgets and schedules are met.
Mark Flach
Vice President, Training Solutions
Mark Flach serves as a Vice President, Training Solutions. He is responsible for the management of training products and services programs and oversees the delivery of training products for our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, and international customers. He is the primary point of contact for Government Program Managers for all LSI training solutions. In addition to overseeing daily program management, he also conducts long range planning to ensure resources are available to meet design and production schedules. Mark served 5 years in the Air Force as part of the Presidential Honor Guard in Washington DC as well as the Military Airlift Command Elite Guard at Scott AFB, Illinois. He has a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Technology Management and is a certified Project Management Professional. Mark started with LSI in 2012 as a Software Engineer and eventually moved into the role of Project Manager, Deputy Program Manager, Director and now serves as the Vice President of Training Solutions.
Robert Gant
Vice President, Training Solutions
Robert Gant serves as a Vice President, Training Solutions. He is responsible for the management of training products and services programs and oversees the delivery of training products for our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, and international customers. He is the primary point of contact for Government Program Managers for all LSI training solutions. In addition to overseeing daily program management, he also conducts long range planning to ensure resources are available to meet design and production schedules. Robert has a Masters in Education: Occupational Training and Development and is a certified Project Management Professional. Robert began serving in the U.S. Army in 1990 and joined LSI in 1999 as an Instructional Systems Designer. Following the attack on 9/11 he was recalled to active duty, receiving a commission as an Intelligence Officer in 2002. Returning to LSI, he advanced to Project Manager, Program Manager, Director, and now serves as a Vice President, Training Solutions.
Paul Miller
Vice President, IT and Security
Paul Miller serves as the Vice President, IT and Security. He is responsible for the management and oversight of the information technology, facilities security, cyber security, Application Development Team (ADT), and SharePoint teams. Paul graduated from Grace College in Winona Lake, IN with a degree in Management of Information Technology (MIT). In 2008, Paul joined LSI’s ADT as an entry level application developer, building applications and websites designed to increase LSI productivity and quality of training product. In 2017, he took over leadership of ADT as Director before moving into his current role in 2023.
Ryan Simmons
Vice President, Engineering
Ryan Simmons serves as the Vice President, Engineering. He manages the Engineering Department and oversees the development of technical solutions and processes to successfully deliver our training products. He ensures LSI has the appropriate engineering staff in place and develops team resource planning and strategies. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Game Development in 2015 and Master’s in Game Design with an Emphasis in Production in 2016 from Full Sail University. He started with LSI in 2020 as a Software Engineering Manager then advanced to Senior Software Engineering Manager, Director of Engineering, and now serves and Vice President of Engineering. Prior to joining LSI, Ryan served four years in the Army as Long-Range Surveillance and has worked as a Software Engineer, Scrum Master and Product Owner designing and developing P-8A, V22, and AH-6i maintenance training software with Boeing.
Jennifer Carter
Vice President, Business Development & Contracts
Jennifer Carter serves as the Vice President, Business Development and Contracts. She is responsible for driving corporate growth, shaping long-range capture strategies, overseeing proposal development, and ensuring effective contract management across the company. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida International University with a dual major in Business Management and Finance. Jennifer previously worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and maintains multiple Defense Acquisition certifications and credentials, including the Acquisition Contracting Professional certification and DAWIA Level III.
