Army Aviation Instructor Services

LSI deploys Mobile Training Teams (MTTs) to Army and National Guard installations to provide on-site training and support services for flight crew and maintenance personnel worldwide. We provide instructors who meet specific government requirements for numerous Army aviation academic courses. We have provided New Equipment Training (NET) Team personnel for Apache and Chinook pilot and maintainer ground school instruction.

Our Army Aviation Division currently provides these services for Program Executive Office (PEO) Aviation, Cargo Helicopter at designated Army Posts worldwide. Our CH-47F Mobile Training Team consisting of Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Instructors, and Courseware Developers is currently conducting ground school and providing training product updates for the units equipped with the Army’s new CH-47F helicopter. We have trained over 4,500 Soldiers to date. We have also provided CH-47F NET to the Australian Defense Force, Australian Army personnel in Townsville, Australia.  Also, we are continuing the NET training as well as the revision and maintenance of courseware as the aircraft changes, until all the Chinook units are transitioned to the CH-47F and beyond.

The LSI CH-47F NET Mobile Training Team was recently lauded by the Project Manager’s Office, Cargo Helicopter for performance on the CH-47F NET program.

Please pass along the thanks of the PM Cargo leadership and myself to your team for a job well done in completing the CH-47F MY I New Equipment Training effort!

Over the past 9 years and 2 months (from 4 Sep 2006 with the beginning of Operational Test Player Training until yesterday, 17 Nov 15 and the completion of the 26UE), the NET team has flown 13,009 accident free flight hours, 22,112 simulation hours, and trained 814 aviators, 3,215 maintainers, for a total of 4,029 total students.

This effort successfully trained the entire Active Army, U.S. Army Reserve, and 10 of the 13 U.S. Army National Guard units assigned CH-47F aircraft flawlessly while the nation was at war.  Although your team members spent countless hours away from their homes and loved ones to support this effort, their sacrifice was a worthy investment.  Conducting training at unit home-stations between deployments greatly enhanced the soldiers’ quality of life and in the process we’ve set the standard for how to conduct NET for others to emulate.

This is a commendable achievement and a direct reflection of the professionalism of the LSI Team!

Again, thank you for providing the best possible training to our forces when, where, and how it was needed!

Sincerely,
Bradley L. Statz
PM Cargo Helicopters
