On Monday evening, September 8th, Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation in El Segundo, California announced that LSI was awarded a contract to build 46.5 hours of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Maintenance ICW Level II courseware.
This award of 46.5 hours equals 27% of the total courseware proposed on by all five of the courseware teams that are currently supporting the F-35 program. The maintenance courseware development effort will be supported by our Strike Fighter Training Team at Lake Gray. Our capture lead for this work was Don Littlefield. Don’s team submitted a similar courseware development proposal for the F-35 Pilot curriculum and we anticipate that award in the next few days.
The Joint Strike Fighter is the next generation fighter to support the US Navy, US Air Force, US Marine Corps, United Kingdom and other foreign governments. Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and BAE Systems are teamed to produce the new strike fighter.
